General Facility and Unit Information

Do you have units with electrical outlets/plugs?

None of our units have electrical outlets available for use.

Are there lights in the units?

It varies from location to location, but some of our larger units may have lights in them.

What are the access hours?

Access hours are 6am to 9pm every day of the year, apart from our 82nd Avenue RV Lot, which has access hours from 6am to Midnight every day.

Is there an elevator?

All our multi-story buildings have elevators available.

How tall are the doors?

It varies by location, but generally no shorter than 7 feet.

How tall are the units?

It varies by location, but generally no shorter than 8 feet.

What kind of food can I store in my unit?

We do not permit food storage at our facilities.

Can I store a motorcycle, car, 4-wheeler, or snow machine in a unit or parking spot?

You can, but we require them to be on a trailer.

What is the difference between a hallway access or drive-up unit?

Hallway Access indicates the unit is inside of a building, where drive-up indicates you can drive straight up to your unit door.

Are drive-up units heated?

Some of our locations offer unheated units, but generally all our units are heated unless stated otherwise.

Is your outdoor parking covered?

We do not offer covered outdoor parking.

Can I use electricity for a freezer or other appliances?

We do not have electricity available for use inside of the units.

Can I use power tools or do woodworking in my unit?

No, we do not permit working inside of a storage unit.

Can I hang shelves in my unit?

We do not permit hanging shelves from our structures, but freestanding shelves are perfectly fine.

What is the lowest temperature in the building during winter?

Our heating buildings are kept at 50 degrees throughout the winter.

Security & Maintenance

What security features do you have?

Our units are individually alarmed, our properties are under 24/7 video surveillance, we utilize tall fences with barbed wire, and a manager lives on site at most of our properties.

Do you have a sprinkler system?

It varies by location, but some of our properties do have fire suppression systems.

Are there mice, rodents, or pest problems?

We utilize d-CON poison at our properties to prevent rodent infestations.

Are the buildings well maintained?

We have full-time maintenance staff at our properties to ensure that the buildings stay in great condition year-round.

How quickly do you plow or shovel after it snows?

We plow our properties every time it snows. If it snows overnight, we plow first thing when we arrive in the morning.

Access & Usage Policies

Can I be on the property after 9pm?

No, we require all tenants to vacate the property by 9pm.

Can I use the dumpster?

Our dumpsters are kept locked, but if you have reasonable trash from your unit you’d like to dispose of, as the manager of the property and they may unlock it for you.

Can I change my oil or do tire changes on site?

We do not permit work to be done on vehicles at any of our properties.

Can I bring my dog into the hallways or unit?

Due to the use of d-CON poison as pest prevention, please leave your dog in your vehicle.

Will someone help me unload my car?

We do not offer any moving services, and our staff cannot help you unload your vehicle.

Can I park an RV?

Yes! Some of our locations offer RV and trailer parking, contact one of our managers for more details.

Will you clean off or start my car in the winter?

We do not clean off or start vehicles, but we do plow the aisleways of our parking areas all winter.

Can I drop off a U-box or pod and have it picked up the next day?

Contact the manager of your location regarding U-box drop-offs.

Leasing, Payments & Discounts

Do you have a price list?

Our prices are all listed individually per location on our website, and if you contact or stop in one of our offices, we’d be happy to go over sizes and prices with you!

Do you offer senior or military discounts?

We do not offer senior discounts, but we do offer benefits for active-duty military.

Can I pay for a year in advance?

Yes, we accept pre-payment of up to a year.

Will I get a discount for paying a year in advance?

We do not have discounts for paying in advance.

How long will my rate stay the same after I’ve rented?

We guarantee your rate will not increase for at least the first year of your tenancy.

Is there a lease?

There is a 1-month minimum lease that is month-to-month thereafter.

Do you require insurance?

We do require insurance, and offer a policy built into the prices of our units.

Is there a security deposit?

We do not have security deposits if you sign up for automatic billing. Otherwise, there is a deposit equal to one month’s rent.

Can I transfer to a larger or smaller unit?

Yes, contact the manager of your location and they can help you get started on a unit transfer.

How do I find my unit number?

You can contact the manager of your location, or you can refer to any receipts or your copy of the contract to find it. It is also the first 4 digits of your gate code.

How much notice do I need to give to move out?

We require a 10-day written notice for move-outs.

Miscellaneous & Services

Do you sell boxes and moving supplies?

Yes, our offices have a variety of boxes and moving supplies available for purchase!

Do you have a restroom?

Most of our locations do have a restroom available during office hours.

Do you have a rental van?

Our Dimond and Eagle River locations have a moving truck available for rent! Please contact the office for prices and availability.

Can you cut my lock if I lose my key?

Yes! Come into the office with your ID and we can get your lock cut for you.

Do you keep an extra key in the office?

We do not keep keys to any units in the office.

Can someone else take over my unit/contract?

You can relinquish your unit to another person, please contact the manager of your location to learn more about the process.

Can I put two names on the contract?

All of our units are single signer contracts; however you can grant anyone access to your unit by providing them with your gate code and a key to your lock.
